Intersection Floor Hockey Rules

|
- Play will be in accordance with the current Canadian Ball Hockey Association Rules.
- Each team may have a maximum of 15 players including coach and manager, all of whom may play, a minimum of 5 players and a fully dressed goaltender is required to start a game.
- In case of injury to goaltender a team will be granted ten (10) minutes to dress a second goalie.
- Games will consist of two (2) twenty (20) min straight time periods.
- Each team will be allowed one (1) 30 sec time out per game.
- The type of championship will be decided at the pre-tournament briefing, based upon number of entries.
- Play will be IAW Para 1. with the following exceptions:
- No body contact;
- No grabbing ball during play;
- No high sticking;
- High stick drawing blood will result in a team major penalty and ejection of the offending player; and
- Slap shots are not allowed.
- Penalties will be assessed as follows:
- a. Major - 5 min (straight); and
- b. Minor - 3 min (straight).
Note: Time will start when the ball is dropped into play.
- The following point system will be used:
Win 3 pts
Tie 2 pts
Loss 1 pt
Default 0 pts
- The following equipment must be worn:
- Team sweater of same colour style;
- Eye goggles during play;
- Plastic sticks supplied by the gym are the only one’s allowed; and,
- Goalies must wear full protection.
- The lending of goalies between Units is not allowed.
- If a team cannot field a minimum number of players as per para 2 within 10 minutes of scheduled start, game will be forfeited to waiting team.
